At HLEPT, we work hard and try to play (or relax) just as hard. While we take pride in being as professional as possible, sometimes the tie needs to be loosened and life needs to be lived. From keeping up with book clubs to playing with Macaroni (not the food), here’s a little insight to what we do while we aren’t in the courtroom.
You’ll notice we’ve calculated how much time is spent in each activity; excuse us, it’s the lawyer side we just can’t seem to shake.
MIKE’S “NON-LAWYER TIME”
- Gardening and growing things
- Watching old movies and educational television
- Watching and playing golf
- Reading current affairs, novels, and works of world history
- Watching high school, college, and professional football games
- Family activities
- Volunteering
CULLY’S “NON-LAWYER TIME”
- Reading about or watching college sports
- Spending time with (or thinking about) my children
- Church activities (choir, Sunday School, Emmaus mostly)
- Fitness activities
- Thinking about how I need to be more fit
- Reading on current events and trends
- Doing absolutely nothing (recharging)
NOTE: Eating occurs simultaneously with all of the above activities.
ED’S “NON-LAWYER TIME”
- Youth soccer and college track and field officiating
- Texas A&M teaching
- Family time (including playing with my dog, Macaroni)
- Readings for and attendance at my two weekly book clubs
- Church work
HEATH’S “NON-LAWYER TIME”
- Golf- Playing golf and improving golf game
- Child rearing, mentoring and loving on my two sons
- Pleasure reading/Bible Study
- Television and computer time
LAUREN’S “NON-LAWYER TIME”
- Spending time with family
- Cooking
- Reading, quiet time, and Bible study
- Outdoor activities
- Catching up on college and professional sports

OUR THANKSGIVING CARDS
Since 1995, it’s been a tradition to send out our fun Thanksgiving cards to all our friends and clients. We like to blame this on College Station’s profound affinity for traditions, but truthfully, it’s our way to show our appreciation to our friends, family, and clientele over the years in a fun way. Sure, we may have abandoned our old Microsoft Clipart graphics, but we still get a kick out of creating some cheesy photo shoots each year. Take a look at the past, and please pardon the 90s hair.
